SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

GOD
The Child and God
God
Are you Real?
The little child whispered,
God,
"Speak to me"
But the child did not hear.
So the child yelled
"God, speak to me"
And the thunder rolled across the sky
But the child did not listen.
The child looked around and said,
"God "
"let me see You"
And a Star shone brightly
But the child did not notice.
And the child shouted,
"God "
"show me a miracle! "
And a life was born.
But the child did not know.
So the Child cried out in despair,
"Touch
me God,
" and let me
know you are here!"
Whereupon
God reached down
And touched the child.
But the child
brushed the Butterfly away
And walked
away unknowingly..........

God is
crazy about you.
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He listens.
He can live anywhere in the universe, yet He chooses your heart.
Face it, friend --
He is crazy about you!
Life's Quilt
When I
was a little boy, my mother used to embroider a great deal.
I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor
and ask what she was doing.
She informed me that she was embroidering.
From the
underside, as I watched her work
within the boundaries of the little round hoop
that she held in her hand,
I complained to her that it sure looked messy from where I sat.
She would smile at me, look down and gently say,
"My son, you go about your playing for a while and,
when I am finished, I will put you on my knee
and let you see it from my side."
I would wonder why she was using some dark threads
along with the bright ones and
why they seemed so jumbled from my view.
A few
minutes would pass and then I would hear Mother's voice say,
"Son, come and sit on my knee."
This I would do, only to be surprised
and thrilled to see a beautiful flower or a sunset.
I could not believe it,
because from underneath it looked so messy.
Then
Mother would say to me,
"My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled,
but you did not realize that there was a pre-drawn plan
on the top. It was a design. I was only following it.
Now look at it from my side and you
will see what I was doing."
Many
times through the years I have looked up
to my Heavenly Father and said,
"Father, what are You doing?" He has answered,
"I am embroidering your life."
I would say, "But it looks like a mess to me.
It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark.
Why can't they all be bright?"
The Father seems to tell me,
"My child, you go about your business of doing
"My" business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven
and put you on My knee and you will see
the plan from My side."

Dear
God,
So far today,
I've done all right.
I haven't gossiped.
I haven't lost my temper.
I haven't lied or cheated.
I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or overindulgent.
I'm very thankful for that.
But in a
few minutes I'm going to get out of bed,
and from then on,
I'll need a lot more help.
THINKING OF YOU
This morning as
I rose from bed and saw the sun above,
I softly said "Good Morning God, bless everyone I love"
And right away I thought of you and said a loving prayer
That He would bless you specially and keep you free from care.
I thought of all the happiness your day could hold in store;
And wished it all for you, because no one deserves it more.
I felt so warm and good inside, my heart was all aglow
I know God heard my prayer for you,
He hears them all you know.

A Letter From The Boss
I am God.
Today I will be handling all of your problems.
Please remember that I do not need your help.
If life happens to deliver a situation to you
that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it.
Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box.
It will be addressed in My time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box,
do not hold on to it.
If you find
yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair.
There are people in this world
for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work;
Think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you
despair over a relationship gone bad;
Think of the person who has never known what it's like
to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
Think of the woman in dire straits,
working twelve hours a day,
seven days a week to feed her children.
Should your car
break down,
leaving you miles away from assistance.
Think of the paraplegic who would
love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice
a new gray hair in the mirror;
Think of the cancer patient in chemotherapy
who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find
yourself at a loss
and pondering what is life all about,
asking what is my purpose?
Be thankful.
There are those who didn't live
long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find
yourself the victim of other people's
bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities;
Remember, things could be worse.
You could be them!!!!

The Tapestry
My life is but a weaving between my God and me.
I do not choose the colors. He worketh steadily.
Often times He weaveth sorrow and I in foolish pride,
forget He sees the upper and I thee underside.
Not until the loom is silent and the shuttle ceases to fly,
Does God unfurl the canvas and reveal the reason why.
The dark threads are as needed, in skillful weavers hands.
As the
threads of gold and silver, in the pattern He has planned.
