FOOTPRINTS

One night a man had a dream of walking

along the beach, with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes of his life.

For each scene there were two sets

of footprints in the sand.

One was his and

the other was the Lord's.

After the last scene, he looked back and

noticed many times in life there was,

only one set of footprints.

These during the most sad, hard times.

This really bothered him and so he questioned

the Lord, "Lord, you said once

I followed you, we would walk together.

I have noticed only one set of footprints during

the most troublesome times. Why weren't you

there when I needed you the most?"

The Lord replied,

"My precious child,

I loved you

and would never leave.

During your trials and tribulations,

when you see only one set of foot prints,

it was then I carried you."
