WHOEVER GETS THERE FIRST (WITH AN ATTITUDE) WINS.
THAT IS WHY RELIGIONS, GOVERNMENTS, AND CORPORATIONS
WANT TO GET TO OUR CHILDREN AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
THEN THE CHILD IS OFTEN CONTROLLED BY THAT ATTITUDE FOR LIFE.

A Child is like a butterfly in the wind
Some can fly higher than others,
But each one flies the best it can.
Why compare one against the other?
Each one is different.
Each one is special.
Each one is beautiful.

I HAVE NOW LEARNED TO QUESTION WHAT AND
HOW OUR CHILDREN ARE BEING TAUGHT IN SCHOOL.

ASK YOUR YOUNG CHILDREN WHO THEY WERE WHEN THEY WERE BIG.
LISTEN. LET THEM DRAW IT.

YOUNG CHILDREN ARE VERY OPEN.
THEY OFTEN SEE, HEAR, AND KNOW WHAT THEIR PARENTS DO NOT.
IT IS BEST FOR THE PARENTS TO LISTEN AND
ENCOURAGE THE CHILD TO DRAW THEIR EXPERIENCES.
FOR PARENTS AND DOCTORS TO DISMISS IT AS
"JUST IMAGINATION" IS OFTEN
COMING FROM A PLACE OF IGNORANCE AND FEAR.

A hundred years from now it will not matter
what my bank account was, the sort of house
I lived in, or the kind of car I drove
but the world may be different because I was
important in the life of a child.

IT IS BEST FOR PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND;
YOUR CHILDREN HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDA
AND IT MAY NOT INCLUDE YOU.

Enough happiness to keep you sweet
Enough trials to keep you strong

      I ran into a stranger as he passed by
     "Oh excuse me please"... was my reply
     He said... "Please excuse me too...
     I wasn't really watching for you."
     We were very polite... this stranger and I
     We went on our way and we said good-bye.

     But at home a different story is told
     How we treat our loved ones... young and old
     Later that day... cooking the evening meal
     My son stood beside me very still.

     When I turned... I nearly knocked him down
     "Move out of the way"... I said with a frown
     He walked away... his little heart broken
     I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

     While I lay awake that night in bed
     God's still small voice came to me and said
     "While dealing with a stranger... common courtesy you use
     But the children you love... you seem to abuse.

     Go and look on the kitchen floor
     You'll find some flowers there by the door
     Those are the flowers he brought for you
     He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise
You never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

     By this time... I was feeling very small
     And then my tears began to fall
     I quietly went and knelt by his bed
     "Wake up... little one... wake up " I said.

     "Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
     He smiled... "I found 'em, out by the tree
     I picked 'em because they're pretty like you
     I knew you'd like 'em... especially the blue."

     I said... "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today
     I shouldn't have yelled at you that way"
     He said... "Oh, Mom, that's okay I love you anyway"
     "Son... I love you too....
     And I do like the flowers... especially the blue."

     Are you aware that if we died tomorrow...
the company that we are working for
could easily replace us in a matter of days....
but the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
     And come to think of it...
we pour ourselves more into work
than into our own family...
an unwise investment indeed...
don't you think?
     So.... what is behind this story?

WHO WERE YOU BEFORE YOU WERE SMALL?

DON'T LIVE FOR ANYONE ELSE ANYMORE.
DO NOT GO AROUND LOOKING INTO OTHER PEOPLE'S
LIVES AND FIND LACKING IN YOURS.
BE HAPPY. BE A CHILD AGAIN.
KNOW WHAT IT IS TO FIND JOY IN THE SIMPLEST OF THINGS.
TO BE A CHILD MEANS THAT YOU ARE IN POSSESSION OF AN EGO
THAT EMITS TRUTH FROM YOURSELF,
THAT HAS THE INABILITY TO JUDGE,
FOR IT HAS NEVER BEEN TAUGHT FEAR;
IT HAS NEVER BEEN TAUGHT IMPERFECTION;
IT HAS NEVER BEEN TAUGHT VIOLENCE OR UGLINESS.
IT SIMPLY IS. PONDER THAT.

SO WHY WOULD I ALLOW THEN TO BE INVOLVED WITH
VIOLENT MOVIES, VIDEO GAMES, MUSIC, AND TELEVISION.
ABC NEWS Sept. 11, 2000 - After a yearlong investigation,
federal regulators released a report today that harshly criticized
the entertainment industry for marketing violent material to children.
The Federal Trade Commission released a report that takes the
entertainment industry to task for marketing violent material to children.
The movie, video game and music industries routinely try to
sell adult-rated products to kids, it says.
"The FTC report says that some entertainment companies
are engaged in marketing practices, that, if not illegal, are clearly wrong,"

Children are God's ambassadors to our world.
As such, we must treat children,
all children,
with the same regard and respect,
the same care and consideration,
with which we would treat God.
To disrespect children
is to disrespect God.
We must learn to love every child in
the world well and with our whole heart.
That means that the
well-being of children
must be the first priority and commitment of
all societies and their governments.
Every child in the world must be
safe and secure,
must be loved and treasured,
must be accorded every advantage
to nurture their creative spirit and develop
their unique skills and abilities.
If we want to know God's commandment to us,
this is it.
If we want a great project to give our life meaning,
this is it.
If we want to bring peace and justice into the world,
this is how.
Children are God's ambassadors to our world.
Are we welcoming all children with the same reverence
with which we would welcome God?
