YOU WISH TO KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE WILL BRING, BUT FIRST YOU MUST UNDERSTAND HOW THE FUTURE IS CREATED. YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE LIVING IN THE PRESENT, BUT MOST OF THE TIME YOU ARE LIVING IN THE PAST.
YOUR MIND FLOWS IN AND OUT BETWEEN WORLDS, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN. YOU WONDER ABOUT THE FUTURE BUT YOU DAYDREAM ABOUT THE PAST. WHEN YOUR MIND WANDERS, IT USUALLY GOES BACK TO A RECENT (OR NOT SO RECENT) EVENT AND RELIVES IT. WHY? BECAUSE YOU HUNGER FOR EMOTION. THE MORE EMOTIONAL THE EVENT, THE MORE YOU GO BACK INTO IT, WHETHER IT IS WITH REGRET OR ACCEPTANCE, DOES NOT MATTER. THE MIND DESIRES MOVEMENT AND PRODS YOU FROM VISION TO VISION, OFTEN POISONING YOUR MIND WITH REGRETS. IF YOU HAVE HAD AN EMBARRASSING EXPERIENCE, YOU MAY REPLAY THIS INCIDENT IN YOUR MIND 20 OR 30 TIMES BEFORE LETTING IT DIE. IRONICALLY, THE TENDENCY IS TO REPLAY NEGATIVE EVENTS MORE OFTEN THAN POSITIVE ONES.

THE REASON THERE IS SUCH A GULF BETWEEN WHERE YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU WANT TO BE, IS THAT YOU ARE HARDLY EVER REALLY IN THE PRESENT. I WILL GIVE YOU A MOVING MEDITATION WHICH CAN BRING YOU INTO YOUR NOW:
TAKE A WALK IN NATURE. BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR WALK, TAKE SEVERAL DEEP SOOTHING BREATHS, LOOK UPWARD INTO THE SKY, THE TOPS OF THE TREES, ETC. STUDY THE SKY, CLOUDS, LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS. FEEL THE AIR AROUND YOU. LOOK DOWN TOWARD THE GROUND AND DO THE SAME THING, REALLY STUDY WHAT YOU SEE. WONDER ABOUT IT. BREATHE IT IN. FEEL YOUR SURROUNDINGS AS YOU WOULD YOUR OWN BODY. THEN BEGIN SLOWLY AND CONSCIOUSLY WALKING FORWARD. WITH EACH STEP SOFTLY SAY "NOW." REPEAT THIS WORD TO YOURSELF EVERY FEW MOMENTS. EACH TIME YOU SAY THE WORD, BRING YOURSELF TOTALLY INTO THE MOMENT. FEEL ALL OF YOUR SENSES COME ALIVE. REALIZE THAT YOU ARE SEEING AND FEELING WHAT YOU NORMALLY WOULD WALK RIGHT BY. TAKE-IN THE MOMENT AND BE GRATEFUL. DO THIS FOR THE ENTIRE WALK. EACH TIME YOUR MIND WANDERS, SMILE, AND BRING IT BACK TO THE PRESENT. THE SMILE IS VERY IMPORTANT, BECAUSE IT IS A SIGNAL TO THE BRAIN THAT THIS IS A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THE SMILE ALIGNS YOU TO YOUR FORGIVENESS. YOUR USUAL HABIT WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF DRIFTING AWAY, IS TO GET UPSET WITH YOURSELF; THE SMILE ALLOWS YOU TO RETURN TO AN UPLIFTING VIBRATION, THEREFORE CREATING A POSITIVE MANIFESTATION. EACH TIME YOU DO THIS, THE FUTURE OPENS A DOOR OF JOYFUL POTENTIAL. THE SMILE IS YOUR ASSURANCE THAT YOUR FUTURE WILL BECOME THE PATH YOU HAVE LONGED FOR.
